Circle of Geometry: Summon Fractal Creatures and Polygons of Power with this Quandrix Inspired Druid! (Includes NPC Statblocks)

Fractal Summoning - Livia Prima, Wizards of the Coast

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a quirky druid subclass: the Circle of Geometry! This druid was heavily inspired by the Quandrix college from the Strixhaven setting. Since I’ve shared a subclass for each of the other colleges, I wanted to complete the cycle by sharing this fifth subclass.

I’ve developed metrics for measuring how complex the subclasses being designed are, and so far, the Circle of Geometry holds the record for the most complex subclass I’ve created. The Circle of Geometry centers around using your wild shapes to summon elemental fractal versions of animals as well as working to build magical shapes that span the battlefield. These shapes are formed from glowing points you and your fractal creature can drop around the battlefield as you move, and the shapes allow you to deal continuous damage to enemies caught inside and interact with your later features. The mechanics worked together very well in playtesting but required the player to track many game elements at once.

If anyone tries it out, I’m curious for further feedback. If you’re interested in more Strixhaven player options, there’s a Witherbloom warlock, a Prismari bard, a Lorehold paladin, a Silverquill bard, a troll player race, and Strixhaven themed spellcaster feats.

As always, your feedback and comments are welcome!
